WALTER C NICELY (1877-1950)
The following obit for Walter appeared in the June 12, 1940 Journal:
Death claimed Walter C Nicely, a life-long resident of Middleway, in a Martinsburg Hospital at ?? o'clock, Sunday morning. The cause of death was peritonitis that developed following an operation for appendicitis. He was taken to the hospital Wednesday of last week.
Mr. Nicely who was 63 years of age, married Miss Dena Whittington of Kearneysville, who services him with three sons, Harry and Floyd, both of Middleway, and Lawrence, in Berryville and one daughter, Mrs. Edna Pifer, also of Berryville. Surviving also is one brother, Ephraim Nicely, of Martinsburg. Funeral services were held in the Union Church, Middleway at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, followed by interment in the Masonic Cemetery there. | Nicely, Walter Clifton (I29097)

John HOPKINS (ca1550-1593) was married twice. His first wife was Agnes
BORROWE/BARROWE and the mother of William HOPKINS and Alice HOPKINS. They
married 28 Oct 1574.
John's second marriage was 28 Jul 1579, after the death of Agnes. Two children
were born to this marriage: Stephen and Susanna.
