Paul E. Williams wrote Aug 2010, after inspecting the records in the courthouse, Owen, IN:
"Marriage application (Books C-40 p. 51 and H-19 p. 49)" states that it is the fourth marriage for the bride, Rebecca, "daughter of William Minor and Elizabeth Cole." Rebecca's place of birth is listed as "Ohio," but "all census records indicate Indiana."
The application indicates that Rebecca is the third wife of the groom, James, "son of Andrew Deal and Mary Barnett." The groom, James was b. "Putnam County, Indiana."
