"Sandra Jean (Deal) Ellzey, 50, Fort Morgan, Colo., died April 20 [2005] at the Colorado Plains Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. Sandra was born October 16, 1954, in Huntington Beach, Calif., to Floyd and Darlene Deal. Sandie has lived in Fort Morgan most of her life. She was an accomplished accountant for the past 25 years, but her true passion was researching genealogy. Sandie never had any children of her own, but she loved and spoiled her nieces and nephews. She was a devout Christian and was a member of the Hillrose Community Church. She relied on her strong faith to help her fight her illness. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Deal Sr., and her Mother, Darlene Virell.
Survivors include four brothers, Mike Deal, Oak Harbor, Wash.; Floyd Deal, Jr. and Shane Deal, both of Fort Morgan; and Shawn Deal, Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Kelly Deal, Platteville, Colo.; and Paula Hightower, Portland, Ore.; her step-mother, Lyn Deal, Fort Morgan; and her nieces and nephews, Jennie, Zach, Angela, Shawn, Daniel, and Moriah.
Graveside Services were held April 26 at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Missouri Valley, Pastor Ron Wymer, officiant.
Arrangements in Missouri Valley were handled by Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home.

Hi...My maiden name is DEAL and for several years prior to my fathers death, I helped him with the DEAL Genealogy. I am now carrying on with out him... Here is a very brief run down on my family line.
My 4th g.grandfather was William DEAL He married [Eve Decker, Abt. 1798]. Their son, John DEAL is my 3rd g. grand father. He married Sarah Barnett in Harrison Co., IN in 1820. Their son James Edward DEAL in my 2nd g. grandfather, He married Hanna Case in Green Co., IN in 1846. Their son Joseph Harvey DEAL is my g. grandfather, He married Edith Carter around 1908 in Potawattamie County, IA. Their son James Harvey DEAL is my grandfather. He married Helen Roden in Harrison County, IA in 1927. Their son Floyd Earl DEAL is my father. I was born in 1954. I have a lot more info on several different branches of the family. If you are interested, I would be happy to share it with you. Before my father passed away last January, he had several years and thousands of miles worth of information to share. I joined the search 3 years ago. Our DEAL line started in the Carolinas then went to Virginia and Kentucky and ended up in Indiana (Putnum, Clay & Harrison Counties). My g.g.g. grandfather John DEAL and his wife Sarah Barnett DEAL along with most of their family and friends moved west to Harrison Co. Iowa in the 1800's.My father was born 1932 and raised in Missouri Valley IA, where most of my family had settled in the early 1800’s. There is a "DEAL" family reunion in Missouri Valley Iowa every July. We have had more than 350 people attend, with the number growing every year as we discover more family around the country. There is a family cemetery there that holds a lot of family history dating back to the 1800's. In fact the land was donated to the County by my g.g.g. grandfather John DEAL. It had been part of his farm land and the only stipulation he put on it was that it always be a cemetery and all of his descendants be allowed to be buried there at no cost.
