"Nancy McCullough was born in Tennessee in 1828, and married Jacob Mace in 18__. They bought a farm in Jackson Township, Clay County, Indiana, north of Asherville, where they lived for a short time. They sold the farm to Uncle Bill McCullough, and bought a farm in Harrison Township, Clay County, Indiana, north of Clay City. Jacob went to the war and gave his life helping to preserve the Union of our States. Nancy later married Nathaniel Cooprider, and then moved to Kansas, where she died in 1902."
