| Ray S. Woods (1919-1997)
Find-A-Grave:
"Ray was one of fourteen children born to Charles Washington Woods (son of William Howard Wood and Charlotte Fields Wood) and Sarah Pitts (daughter of George Washington Pitts and Martha Allred Pitts) on January 15, 1919 in Jay, Oklahoma. He married his sweetheart, Annabell Gibbons, who was also from Jay, and the couple had 4 children together. Ray proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Germany, where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Ray was a very hard-working and dedicated husband and father, owning his own construction business in the Tulsa area. He died on April 16, 1997, and will be fondly remembered by family and friends." |
