- Find-A-Grave: "William Adam Harrington, 91, of Taylorsville passed away Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born September 6, 1917 to Elisha Clay Harrington and Mammie Lee Kerley Harington in Alexander County. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ora Lee Walker Harrington; two brothers, Crafton Harrington and J.B. Harrington; one sister, Irene Jones; and twin infants Colin and Ruth, one infant sister, Gladys, and one infant brother.
William attended Oxford Memorial Baptist Church. He worked as a foreman at Rock-Tenn, Inc. for 34 years. He served as a charter member of Ellendale Volunteer Fire Department. During WWII, he served in the US Army. Loved ones left to cherish his memory include; two daughters, Glenda Brown and her husband Donald Lee, and Dianne Wagoner and her husband Bronce; six grandchildren, Dawn Hudson and husband Chad of Hickory, Steven Brown and wife Stephanie, Chris Brown and wife Briana, Cassidy Shepherd and wife Ashley, Candace Wagoner Jenkins and husband Ashley, and Jamison Wagoner, all of Taylorsville; five great-grandchildren, Hayden Hudson of Hickory, Zeb Brown, Madelyn Shepherd, Zalee Brown and Lydia Brown, all of Taylorsville; one brother, Harvey Harrington and wife Maxine of Taylorsville; five sisters, Shirley Brown and husband Grady, Teen Mitchell, Mary Milstead, and Mildred Faye *Bunnie* Harrington and husband Harold, all of Taylorsville, and Jeannie Cropley and husband Jack of Gresham, OR; along with a number of nieces and nephews."
