- Roy and Lois never divorced. I believe that Lois received some sort of pension from Roy, perhaps a miner's union pension, and certainly social security as his widow. He left her the house in Fort Lauderdale. The last few years of his life he traveled around the country, working for spells out west and in Georgia.
