The following obit for Margaret appeared in the Dec. 24, 2002 Winchester Star:
Margaret Dillow Nicely, 89, of Bluemont died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, at her home. Mrs. Nicely was born Feb. 1, 1913 in Millville, W.V., the daughter of Chalres and Lavinia Viands Dillow. She had worked in intelligence at the Pentagon and as a translator at the National Security Agency. She was an administrative assistant to the registrar at Georgetown University for 18 years. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church.
She married Laurence Clifton Nicely on Dec. 24, 1932 in Berryville. Mr. Nicely died Dec. 19, 2002. Surviving are a daughter, Nancy Nicely Slepetz of Charleston, S.C.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Janice Elaine Nicely Shaulis, is deceased.
A gravesite service will be at 10 AM Tuesday at the Masonic Cemetery, Middleway, W. Va. with the Rev. Canon Dwight L. Brown officiating. Memorials may be made to Grace Episcopal Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 678, Berryville, 22611. Enders & Shirley Funeral Home, Berryville, is handling arrangements.
