"Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Emma Early, 78, of 11361 Washington, Los Angeles, formerly of South Bend, at 11:20 a.m. Thursday in the Culver West Convalesent Hospital, Los Angeles, after a three-month illness. Born on March 5, 1897, in Bayonne, N.J., she had lived here 26 years, moving to California in 1952. On Nov. 1, 1918, in Bayonne, she married Elva Early, who died February 1952. Surviving are six sons, Hiram, William, Harold, Charles, Robert and Elva Jr., all of Los Angeles; two daughters, Mrs. Nora Bramlett of South Bend and Mrs. Patricia Feeney of Orange, Calif,; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a sister , Mrs. Agnes Wagner of New Jersey.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in the Pierce Brothers Funeral Home, Inglewood, Calif. Rec. Virtue Atwater of the Four Square Church, Lennox, Calif., will officiate. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Torrance, Calif."
