Deal-Thomas Families Fund in Honor of
Steven Scott Howard, Teacher
and
Carol Jean Thomas, Teacher

A substantial initial gift created the Deal-Thomas Families Fund in Honor or Steven Scott Howard, Teacher and Carol Jean Thomas, Teacher. This fund will be held in perpetuity for the Early Music Program of the Peabody Conservatory. Others are invited to add to this fund from which only the spendable income shall be used to support the students, faculty, and performances of the Early Music Program at the Peabody Conservatory. All distributions from this fund shall be appropriately recognized.

Steven Scott Howard, Teacher, was a son of David and Susan Howard and a member of the Deal Family. In a career cut short by illness, Steve's love of learning and eternal optimism led him to become a teacher, mentor, and supporter of the performing arts. He was devoted to his students, and always sought to inspire them to move beyond their comfort zone and achieve their highest aspirations. His family hopes that the Fund will inspire others to explore, develop and share their talents as he did so well.

Carol Jean Thomas, Teacher, dedicated her life to the education of others. She was a patron of the performing arts and enjoyed years and years of performances at the Peabody Institute.
