    • Rozanne's Obituary
Meradee Rozanne Woodard Barnes, age 83, passed away, peacefully, on April 17, 2023, at her home in Lehi, Utah surrounded by her children and loving husband, Reldon. She was born on September 16, 1939, in Orem, Utah, to the late Sheldon Dezzary and Blanche Moulton Woodard. She was the only daughter and had three brothers, Flaonce Dezzary, Sheldon Deloy, and John Shelly Woodard who have all since passed. Rozanne spent most of her life in Lehi, Utah.

Rozanne was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She married her eternal companion, Reldon Earl Barnes on October 5, 1957 in Las Vegas, Nevada and later the marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple on January 23, 1964, and together they had five children Debbie Anne, Susan Elizabeth, Relda Kaye, Shane Reldon, and Natalie. They also ?adopted? a Japanese daughter Toshiko Kamikubo Barnes. Rozanne was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and her faith was an integral part of her life. She served as Relief Society President, Primary President and many other various callings throughout her life, and her service and love for others will always be remembered.
Rozanne and Reldon served two LDS missions: a proselytizing mission to Cove Fort, Utah and a service mission in the Member Location Department for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also spent many years as a genealogy specialist. Her love for genealogy and family history has benefited many.

Rozanne had a variety of talents and interests, including genealogy, crocheting, knitting, traveling, camping and gardening. She loved to camp and travel with family members with her last trip being to Antarctica with her husband, children, and their spouses. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and selflessness, always putting others' needs before her own. She had a passion for collecting hundreds of Beanie Babies and loved donating them to under privileged children in South America and Ukraine. Her warm smile and gentle nature touched the hearts of everyone she met, and her legacy of love will live on.

Rozanne is survived by her loving husband Reldon, children, Debbie Barnes (Syd), Susan Howard (Rick), Relda White (Greg), Shane Barnes (Patty), Natalie Henderson and Toshiko, twenty-one grandchildren, and forty-five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and a grandson, Derick Howard.

A funeral service will be held April 24, 2023 at the LDS Chapel located at 1364 W 1870 N, Lehi, Utah. There will be a viewing from 11:00-12:45, with the funeral services beginning at 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Lehi City Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to attend and celebrate Rozanne?s life. She will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts.

A special thanks to Valeo Home Health and Hospice, especially Missy, and to many others.
