 | "Pastoral Scene," fall in the Cedar Creek Valley, Shenandoah County, VA
http://www.vagenweb.org/shenandoah/phot1/ced_creek.html
The Cedar Creek Valley lies between two mountains, Little North and Big North Mountain, on the west side of the Shenandoah Valley.
The state line between Virginia and West Virginia runs along the ridge of Big North Mountain of the Allegheny Mountains.
The "Battle of Cedar Creek" (19 Oct 1864) took place well downstream, between Middletown and Strasburg, VA along present day U.S. 11, near where Cedar Creek joins the North Fork of the the Shenandoah River. The battle is not related, except by the name of the creek, to the Zepp, VA area. |
