This record shows Ephroim Schabsay Gurewitsch born 31 May 1876 the son of Markus married to Sora Miriam who was 30-1903 (born about 1873) daughter of Schmuel Itzik

  • Notes
    • The Sarah Mary Horowitz in the Families of Rezekne database with a birth year very close indicates a match. It is troubling that the name of her father on her headstone is Jacob and in the Latvian record it is Schmuel Itzik.

It depends on who gave the information to the tombstone engraver. When you think of the three names so often spoken together Abraham, Isaac and Jacob perhaps the Isaac and Jacob got mixed up in the mind of the informant?

I propose to link this couple until I hear to the contrary.

    • This family can be researched and the information verified. It is marked for follow up. The cemetery records in NY may have the name of her husband and family.
